Full leather covers have been professionally rebacked, retaining original leather spine covers and spine label. Slightly raised spine bands make six compartments, each with gilt stamped decoration now faded. All edges are gilded. Marbled end leaves, with previous owner's book plate on front paste down. Scattered light wear, light foxing, and the occasional smudge. A few leaves with small and non-intrusive chips on edges, including the lower edge of plate III "Andries Africander, A Mulato Hottentot." Volume is tight and otherwise clean. Tissue guarded plates are generally bright.
