690 pages. Presentation inscription on blank front free end leaf from Capt. O. E. Morse to W. A. Jenkins. Both men entered the Fifth Regiment Kansas Volunteer Cavalry as line officers. Orlin E. Morse came to Kansas in 1857 to fight for the Free State. After more than three years fighting in the civil war he mustered out as a Captain and returned to his home in Mound City, Kansas where he lived until his death in 1917. Wilton A.
