Copyright is 1940. 376 pages indexed. Zebra striped cloth covers are a little rubbed along edges and slightly darkened over spine. Corners are a little bumped. A book plate was removed from the pictorial top paste down leaving surface stains and a surface tear. Offsetting from the book plate is seen on the front free end leaf. There is a penciled circle (perhaps a juvenile creation of a sun???) on the pictorial bottom paste down. Volume remains tight and is otherwise clean View More...
Copyright is 1941. Tight, un-read, as new copy in like dust jacket that shows a 1/32 inch chip at head of spine, and very slight wear at corners. Jacket is otherwise pristine and now protected in a clear mylar sleeve. The signature sheet is also in fine condition. Ironically, both the book and the signed sheet of paper come from the estate of Osa's second husband Clarke Getts, though through completely different channels. View More...

Originally limited to only 1000 copies, permission was granted to print 500 more following the loss of nearly that many while in international transit. Copies are very difficult to acquire, as the majority have been reserved as VIP presentation gifts from the Borneo government, such as the one recently give to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Pri...
