Original hand colored lithograph printed on both sides of the leaf and measuring approx. 14 ½ x 17 ½ inches. Very light age toning on edges. Dis-bound edge remains un-trimmed, and there are a couple of other small and non-intrusive edge tears. This map is salvaged from a damaged and incomplete copy of "The Official Atlas of Kansas" published in 1887. We generally have other copies of this map in various states of condition available, and occasionally a complete copy of the atlas. Will be shipped flat and protected with corrugated cardboard. 383 pages. Brown cloth cover are a little rubbed and lettering is a bit faded. Non-author presentation inscription on blank front free end leaf. Book has drawn moisture and there are tide marks and darkened edges throughout. There are no leaves sticking and the content remains clean. The volume remains tight. Good working/reading copy.
